Administrative & Medical Staff Services
Our laboratories comply with federal, state and local regulations, as well as requirements imposed by organizations and government agencies charged with inspection and accreditation. With more than 2 million tests under our auspices annually, Laboratory Directors are responsible for reporting timely, accurate results that directly affect people’s lives.
We take this responsibility seriously, and work closely with regional, community and hospital lab managers and technical specialists to encourage LEAN process, adequate and accessible clinical and procedural documentation and relevant test offerings.
Increasingly, our expertise is applied via electronic solutions to communicate health-related information. We are able to transmit results directly to clinicians through a secure Internet portal, EMR interface, printer, fax or e-mail.
We also develop custom electronic health data interchanges. We were the first pathology group to successfully report to the Oregon State Cancer Registry in the standard NAACCR electronic format, replacing a myriad of paper reporting and saving the agency hours of resources previously spent abstracting, scanning and entering medical information.
Web-based technology also allows us to share slides between service locations through networked microscopes outfitted with cameras, which facilitates remote participation in case reviews and tumor conferences.
